In addition, across our enterprise, we aspire to be the preferred bank for women-owned and women-led businesses to help facilitate their success and growth.  We aim to help remove barriers for women, challenge stereotypes and help create conditions where gender equity can become a reality.  To support this aspiration, we are expanding our network of Women in Enterprise accredited bankers across Canada who have received training on understanding the barriers and biases that women face in accessing financing. This accreditation empowers our bankers to establish the much needed relationship of trust for women in business. We also help provide education, financing, mentoring and community support to female entrepreneurs and engage with like-minded entrepreneurs so that they can share experiences and learn from each other. One of the most important aspects of our strategy to support women is supporting community-based programs that provide networking and mentorship.
