Two local award-winning marketing agencies are teaming up for a session on marketing your business in 2024. The good, the bad and the ugly!
Samantha, owner of Clarity Marketing & Design, started her business at the young age of 18. Her educational background is in Marketing Management and Web Development. She loves to share the knowledge and has been teaching since 2014 and currently teaches in the web development program at Conestoga since 2022.
Candace is Founder of SongBird Marketing Communications. She specializes in media relations, influencer marketing, social media, content creation and strategy, and brand strategy leading to increased brand awareness, community engagement, influencer buzz, and widespread media coverage in print, digital, and broadcast media outlets. Candace is also a professor at both Wilfrid Laurier University and Centennial College where she teaches marketing and business strategy courses.

Jill Ferras and Rachel Strasser are Co-Owners of Up Yoga & Wellness, a premier yoga studio and wellness collective located in Paris Ontario. Rachel is a Integrative Nutrition & Health Coach, Wellness Educator and Yoga Instructor. Jill is a practitioner of Emotional Freedom Technique, Biofield Tuning and Eden Energy Medicine as well as a yoga instructor. Together they share a passion for creating authentic community around wellness.
We will be talking about how earning money is an exchange of energy. When your energy can flow freely and creatively into the things you enjoy, you unlock potential for wealth to flow through you. We will chat about the importance of finding a grounded and relaxed state when approaching your business with tools that can help you clear the static around your business ideas, and create connection to flow state & abundance. We will offer an Emotional Freedom Technique Demo and a self care toolbox to help women create space to do the work through limiting beliefs (around money + outside of the box ideas) & manifest from a calm & relaxed nervous system.

Cara, a former high school teacher and dedicated mother of three, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey almost ten years ago, driven by a profound love for building a brand and business. This passion took root during the early years of motherhood, particularly when her daughter was diagnosed with autism. Living in New Zealand and Kenya enriched Cara’s love of learning and curiosity, shaping her perspectives on life. Fueled by a genuine desire to prove that company culture is critical for success, she draws inspiration from observing teams grow and collaborate seamlessly, with each person finding a way to use their gifts meaningfully within the company. As the co-founder and president of Cara & Co, a company specializing in bead supplies and DIY craft kits, she has learned a lot through the challenges and joys that come with growing a business, and is looking forward to sharing some of these real-world stories with fellow women in the local community of Brantford.

Her (and Brant Nutrition’s) mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based, weight-inclusive dietetic services. Kim’s superpower is her ability to connect with patients to find and the tackle the barriers that hold them back from achieving their health goals.
